Jana ftom USA shares her success story.

I started studying Fosha formally while studying for my master's at AUC. I had to reach a certain proficiency level and take an exam in order to graduate. Thankfully Dr. Atef got me ready and I passed the exam and graduated!

My experience with UCAN has been only positive since the day I started in December 2016. I actually began as a member of the English teaching staff. The entire team at UCAN were very welcoming from day one and made me feel at home and like family. I always looked forward to going to work there.

My favorite memories with UCAN include teaching conversation English classes and taking Arabic with Dr. Atef. Arabic classes with Dr. Atef are always very productive and goal-oriented. You feel he deeply understands the student's needs and knows how to design the lessons according to your specific goals. I even continue studying Arabic with Dr. Atef after I graduated with my master's because I want to continue to improve my Arabic reading and writing skills in Fosha. I also have fond memories as a teacher at Ucan. The staff are so warm and friendly and kind, which allowed me as a teacher to keep a friendly atmosphere in my classroom, which made the classes fun for my students.

My experiences with UCAN both as a teacher and as a student have impacted my life tremendously. The invaluable experience I gained as an English teacher with UCan gave me the knowledge and exposure to working with ESL students that I would continue even after returning home to the US. I now work with international students at a university in California and I wouldn't have been able to reach this position without my experience at UCAN. Ucan allowed me to grow. As a student, taking Arabic with Dr. Atef has allowed me to improve my skills in formal Arabic so that I am able to engage more serious topics with friends and family. I also work with Arabic-speaking students at my work so no doubt continuing my Arabic study with UCAN has given me the confidence I need to speak with others.

If you are considering studying with UCAN, absolutely know that you're making an investment that you will keep benefitting from for years to come both professionally and personally. In addition, you will make life-long friendships with people from all countries and cultures and walks of life. Ask for Dr. Atef, he's awesome!!
